Hair Loss and what vitamin D can do

Many in the world have to deal with hair loss in their lives. It’s definitely not something we earn, but something that is inherited. What would you do if there was a vitamin that could help with that? Now, this is no miracle cure and I’m not going to tell you to take something and you’ll instantly get your hair back. In fact it might not help at all, but then again it might. Vitamin D has been proven in tests on rats to help with the loss of hair.

Wouldn’t it be worth taking a chance on something cheap that you can find at your local convenience store just waiting there on the shelf for you to come and pick it up. It couldn’t hurt anything. In fact it could help with many other health problems. If I told you that you could find something like that down the street at the store, wouldn’t you want to go and pick it up. Of course you would, so I’m going to introduce you to hair loss and vitamin D.

source of vitamin DVitamin D has been proven, in recommended dosages, to slow down or stop hair loss. It stops alopecia areata from forming which is what causes some hair loss. It alters the pathogenic inflammatory response with few side effects. This is a vitamin with many uses and hair loss is just one of its many uses.

In research on mice vitamin D, mostly the 1.25-dihydroxyvitamin D regulates expression of genes of the skin. When these genes were taken away the mice started losing hair in splotches and rickets. In 8 months mice had total hair loss and at 3 weeks they started forming dermal cysts. This test doesn’t for sure prove that vitamin D deficiency contributes to the hair loss in young men, but since the scientists knocked out the genes that make vitamin D rather than just taking away the vitamin.

It may be that increasing lack of essential fatty acids in people’s diets that is causing the lack of vitamin D. This is especially true with the loss of Omega 3. It has been proven that fatty acids contribute to eliminating eczema, psoriasis, and dandruff and help prevent hair loss by controlling the flow of oils and help collagen, which support structure beneath the skin.

While you shouldn’t give up on medications, surgeries or other preventing and growing hair treatments, you should definitely check out what vitamin D can do. It would be a cheap and easy way to improve your hair and lifestyle. A good diet and exercise wouldn’t hurt either.
