Hair Loss and Acupuncture

For a huge number of men and even a small group of women, hair loss will become a large issue in your life. It can be embarrassing to some people. Hair loss can even cause severe depression in many people. Some will elect to take medications, use lotions or shampoos, get surgery or even go through a laser treatment. That’s all fine and good. But what if there was something out there so simple and so unique that perhaps it would help you and no one would even know how you got there or how you did it.

Well my friend, let’s make a strange combination, bedfellows if you will, hair loss and acupuncture. That’s right I said acupuncture. In Asia, acupuncture is used to heal all kinds of ailments and it’s becoming very popular here in the U.S. as well. A theory is it will free the blood flow to your head causing follicles to re-emerge. If you think about it, this theory is not much different than the laser surgery. This could be the life changing move you’ve been looking for. Make sure, however, you chose your acupuncturist wisely. You don’t want someone who doesn’t know what they are doing sticking needles in your head now do you?

Traditional Chinese medicine has been known to heal many ailments. Having healthy kidneys helps to have healthy hair growth, therefore traditional Chinese medicine is to take the herbs ho shou wu and shu dihuang. There are also acupuncture points in the kidneys that can help hair growth. So, Chinese medicine does have some valid points when it comes to hair growth.

For many years acupuncture has been used to cure many ailments and still does. Results may vary from person to person, but what could it hurt. Give it a chance. You may just find that acupuncture and hair loss are the perfect fit. You may grow back that mullet you’ve been missing since the early 90’s. Perhaps even go for the Don King. Only in America, am I right? Now is the time my friend. Don’t let the nay sayers get you down. Follow your heart and your brain.

Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying give up on traditional methods. I’m just saying give this a try. It couldn’t hurt anything, and for those of you with hair, acupuncture couldn’t hurt to try out as a preventative measure. It’s not something you want to go out and do and just automatically think you will get all of your hair back or keep it, but it has worked for others. If you have someone in your family who has lost some hair you might just find yourself in the same predicament some time soon.
