Lack of Vitamins can lead to Hair Loss
Hair loss will continue when a diet is inadequate in the B vitamins. Some essential amino acids are found to control the thinning and thickening of the hair in lab animals. When rats were fed a diet deficient in magnesium they lost their hair in bunches. The hair loss got really serious when there was a lack of B vitamins. When fed a diet with little biotin and/or inositol, they became hairless. It was however reversible. When fed back on the vitamin B diet there was a complete restoration of hair. In some men a diet enriched in vitamin supplements stimulation of hair growth has occurred. Most men deprived of B6 lost their hair and when put back on it got it grown back. Heavy doses of Vitamin A, however, caused hair loss and when it was taken away it grew back. Essential fatty acids improve hair texture.
Here are some vitamins and what you need to know. B vitamins are important for the health and growth of the hair. Foods rich in B vitamins include beans, peas, carrots, cauliflower, soy beans, nutritional yeast, bran, nuts and eggs. Take a vitamin B-complex and supplement it with the following additional B-vitamins for best results. Biotin is another important vitamin for hair health. It may prevent hair loss in some men.

Keep that in mind the next time you go to the grocery store. Try to keep a list of what vitamins you’ve taken in and bought so you’ll know what to get to keep that head of hair. It really won’t take much effort on your part. Please just keep in mind what sort of vitamins you need to keep that wonderful hair. It can’t hurt to get the vitamins if you’ve already lost the hair. As seen in the rats hair grew back. So perhaps you can grow some hair if it was from a vitamin deficiency. It may not, but at least you’ll get the vitamins. Anyway, just like momma always said, take those vitamins.
