Hair loss prevention - Ayurveda
Ayurveda, commonly known as Indian medicine is a more useful natural herbal hair loss prevention techniques.
This technique can be followed by any one who has hair loss problem or those wants to prevent it from occurring. As a proverb says, “Prevention is better than cure”, Indian medicine helps in the hair loss prevention process. It just includes the usage of oils extracted directly from the natural forest.
Now let us examine the cause of hair loss which will be more useful in the prevention process. Hair loss may occur due to the following reasons that are found by the normal scientists,
- Inadequate nutrition in the diet that is consumed.
- Hormonal imbalance like the deficiency of testosterone hormone in men and estrogen hormone in women.
- Due to increase of age.
- Disease like psoriasis and other skin disease.
- Sebum accumulation in the scalp preventing nutrition to enter the hair follicle.
- Hereditary
- Intake of medicine for the treatment of cancer.
According to ayurveda or Indian medicine hair loss is due to the exposure to sunlight, water and pollutants, disease, too much off sweating, unhygienic living, irregular sleeping pattern and alcohol consumption. According to researchers made, about ten percent of the hair in the head is dormant and they fall within two to three months.
From this space where the hair is fallen, new hair grows from the root hair with new hair bulb. The scalp is divided in to two regions namely the root and the shaft. The shaft has three layers namely the cortex, the cuticle and the medulla. Hair loss is mainly due to stress. The hair follicle contains oil secreting glands that males the hair shiny. Stress makes the level of secretion low.
Hair loss prevention can be done in many ways other than ayurveda. Using diet’s rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, proteins and iron which should be a proper mixture known as the balanced diet. The prevention techniques that ayurveda suggests are relieving stress by exercise, intake of raw vegetables, cleansing the hair regularly with herbal shampoo and preventing fungal infection in the scalps.
Avoiding hair styles that pull hair can also help in the prevention of hair loss in female. Other hair loss prevention treatments are using of shampoo, medication like the propecia and avodart rich in finasteride and dutasteride drugs respectively and hair transplant and restoration surgery. When the hair loss is detected in early stage itself, there will be no need for the surgical treatment.
Some more tips for hair loss prevention are given below.
- Mix two eggs with a little amount of water and apply in thehair and keep it for fifteen minutes. Then massage the scalp and rinse the hair with water
- Massage using amla mashed to paste regularly, which prevents hair fall.
- Mash half a dozen of banana into paste and mix it with egg and beer that are needed. Apply this regularly and keep it for four hours. Apply it from the scalp to the tip. Then wash it with shampoo and the hair fall is prevented and the hair will be nourished
